The Arianell is a 10-inch hybrid mattress sold through Costco, and it does what a $300-$600 mattress can reasonably do. It's decent for side sleepers between 130 and 230 pounds who don't want to spend a lot on a bed.

It won't wow you with build quality or longevity. But if you need an affordable hybrid that arrives compressed in a box and handles basic comfort needs, it fills that gap. I've gone through the construction, performance across different sleep situations, and where it falls short.

Who Should Skip It

Comfort and Firmness

I'd rate the Arianell at 5-6 out of 10 on the firmness scale. That's medium, right in the middle. And for a budget mattress, the comfort layers are reasonable.

The top is a flame-resistant cover. Nothing fancy. Below that sits 1.2 inches of convoluted foam, the egg-crate pattern you've probably seen before. It creates small airflow channels and provides targeted pressure relief. Side sleepers get the most benefit here because the peaks and valleys of the foam flex around shoulder and hip bones rather than pushing back against them.

Below the convoluted layer is 0.8 inches of gel-infused memory foam designed for lumbar support and some cooling. It's thin. Sagging and Edge Support

Heavy sleepers, anyone over 230 lbs, will almost certainly bottom out. Two inches of comfort foam isn't enough to cushion significant weight. You'd feel the coil system underneath, and the lumbar support won't hold up.

Cooling

The convoluted foam layer creates air channels between its peaks. The gel-infused memory foam pulls some heat away from the body. And the coil base allows airflow that an all-foam mattress can't match.

For a budget hybrid, the temperature regulation is acceptable. Not cold. Not hot. Somewhere in the middle. But if you're a genuinely hot sleeper, the kind who wakes up sweating on most mattresses, this won't be enough to keep you comfortable. The best cooling mattresses use thicker latex layers, phase-change materials, or active cooling systems. The Arianell has none of those.

Durability
